Karen Carlton, Ph.D.
Karen Carlton is retired from the English
Faculty at Humboldt State University, where she was Dean of the
College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. She worked closely with one of Four Springs' founders, Luella Sibbald, on preparation of Luella's book for publication, The Footprints of God: the Relationship of Astrology, C. G. Jung and the Gospels.
Bill
Dols is Editor of the Bible Workbench and a co-author of Finding
Jesus/Discovering Self: Passages To Healing And Wholeness (Morehouse
Publishing 2006). Ordained in the Episcopal
Church, Bill has served as executive director of the Educational
Center in Saint Louis and as Minister of Education at Myers Park
Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. He is also author of Awakening
the Fire Within and Just Because It Didn't Happen: Sermons
and Prayers as Story.
Jerry Drino, M.Div.,
D.D.
Jerry Drino, an Episcopal priest and spiritual director,
is Executive Director of the Episcopal Church in Province
VIII which includes the Western United States, Alaska,
Hawaii and Taiwan. He also directs the Office of InterCultural
Ministry Development for the 80+ language groups in that area.
Juliane
Poirier Locke, M.A.
Juliane Poirier Locke is an artist and writer.
Her articles have appeared regionally and nationally. She is author
of Vineyards in the Watershed, a book about sustainable
agriculture in the Napa Valley, and England's Jane, a
biography of Jane Austen for young readers.
A Presbyterian minister and
pastoral counselor, Tim is executive director of Four
Springs. His interest in the teachings of Jesus and personal
transformation led to graduate study in theology and personality
and a focus on the We-Psychology of Fritz Kunkel. He worked
closely with Four Springs' founder Elizabeth Howes from
1993 until her death in 2002.
Judith
Peterson, M.A., MFT
Judith Peterson is a psychotherapist in private practice,
a body worker, and a long-time leader in the Guild for
Psychological Studies. She loves to include the deep wisdom
of the body among the realities explored in seminars.
Jack has developed and conducted workshops
in coastal areas on the sacredness and emergence of life
from the Earth's waters, and has participated in presenting
seminars at Four Springs since 1982. He has worked
with the Guild for Psychological Studies as secretary of
the board, administrator, and director of the Four Springs
grounds committee, caring for Four Springs as a microcosm
of the world and its soul.
Nancy has led seminars
with the Guild for Psychological Studies for almost 30 years.
She has served on the Guild's board of directors, including
two terms as president, and for many years was the Coordinator
for Guild Seminars outside the Bay Area. She is currently
the secretary of the Four Springs board. In addition to
family and friends, her passions lie in communication, connection
and reconciliation.
